At first blush this probably seems like a silly question. Why after all if you already have investors would you like to introduce them to Angellist? Let me explain... My business partners and I are mature serial entrpreneurs that have several hundred investors that have invested in our companies over the years. Most of these accredited investors have limited domain expertise. By introducing these investors to Angellist we felt that they as investors would benefit from association with expert domain investors, Second Market, an active investment community and it would allow our current venture to benefit from a large, self generated following that might attract high profile investors from the current Angellist community. Running our investors through Angellist really could simplify our fundraising as well when you consider all the REG D and other regulatory hoops we have traditionally had to jump through. All that being said, we have not been able to determine if Angellist allows entrepreneurs to engage in building their own following with investors who are presently outside the ecosystem. Any chance you would know the answer to this or be able to point us in the right direction?
